These are great way to get your hands on a good amount of magnetic stir rods. I have been using these with nitric acid based procedures and they get discolored over time. Once that happens, I tend to swap them out since I'm not sure what that would indicate is depositing on the rods.These rods aren't huge, so I would only use these in up to 500ml breakers or 1L flat bottom round flasks, and that's even pushing it. My typical runs are 50g (s) plus 100ml (a), so these are perfect for that.These are also a good agitator for precipitation steps. Being smaller potentially let's you control what and how you agitate. Can't go wrong with these!
